Antique Chinoiserie Lidded Box

We seem to be on the eternal search for the perfect box to keep on the coffee table for hiding remotes so we were so pleased to discover this beautiful antique one. Black and gold chinoiserie decorate the outside of the papier mâché and wood box. The lid is hinged and the inside is lacquered black. As with any antique, the box shows signs of use and age, but that is part of its beauty. Enjoy it knowing that it was loved by so many previous owners.
